Watching him throughout this year has helped me to prepare for when I leave. I don't know the exact situations I will be in next year but I have watched him change and handle things. I still can't believe I will be leaving in 2 months. It seems so close yet so far away still. I have been thinking about it a lot lately. Like what it will be like when I first arrive and saying goodbye to all my friends and family. Or that last night I go to sleep before I leave. I can't imagine leaving until its a reality. I'm also afraid for what it will be like when I return. I know I won't be exactly the same person and either will all my friends and family. A year is a lot of time for things to change and be moved around. I hope I will get to keep my close friends though. I know they will be going off to college and making new friends and starting a new life but I hope they won't forget me. And I know if they are my true friends we will keep in touch and still see each other when I return. I am pretty sure I won't lose them though. I'm trying to make this summer the best yet and so far it has been! Thank you to everyone who has made this summer amazing so far :)

Hi!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Linda, and I´m from Norway.
I´m going to be an exchange student in the US next year, and I totally understand how you feel about your friends and family. I feel that way too.
Do you know were in Norway you are going to live next year? :)
Hey!
ReplyDeleteIts good to know that someone understands how I feel! I don't know exactly where I'm going in Norway yet but I can't wait to find out! I am very excited!
Do you know where you are going in the US yet?
Where do you hope to come? Norway is quite small though, so I guess you will be travelling a lot around in the country anyway.
ReplyDeleteDo you have relatives in Norway? Since you have decided to be an exchange student here, I mean. It isn`t the most popular destination to be an exchange student. Many people in the US haven´t even heard about Norway before.
I´m going to Spring Lake in Michigan. (Near Grand Rapids) And I´m also very excited! I´ve spoken a lot to my host family, and they seem very nice! :) I`m a little bit overwhelmed about that they eat pancakes with syrup for breakfast. I´m not used to that, but I guess that is a kind of American thing? Hehe..
I don't really know where I want to go in Norway actually. I hope to see all the beautiful fjords though! And I do hope to travel a lot while I'm there.
ReplyDeleteI do have relatives there actually! They live in Bergen! It would be nice to visit them next year :) Your right a lot of people here have never heard of Norway. I am half Norwegian so I thought it would be really interesting to learn about my culture and language. Norway also just seems like a very beautiful country!
OoO I know where that is! I actually live in Ohio which is close to Michigan. I'm glad your family seems nice! I'm still waiting for mine I can't wait to find out who I'll be staying with! I've very anxious to know! Haha yeppers it is kind of an American thing! You will get used to it eventually!
